How to Combine Audiences in Mailchimp

As we have mentioned in another of our articles, if we are Mailchimp users , the most advisable thing to do to manage our contacts in a more optimized way would be to have a single audience and create segments, as well as use labels and/or groups to organize them according to our needs.

Before combining audiences
First of all, we must take into account that, when merging thailand telegram two audiences , we will not be able to keep all the data , such as interaction data in campaigns already sent (click and opening rates), subscriber rating, subscription dates or subscription source.
If we have used some of the audiences in a campaign or automation recently, we must wait at least 7 days to be able to perform the merge.

If so, before proceeding with the combination we must deactivate it, or the welcome email will be automatically sent to all new contacts transferred to that audience. Once both audiences have been combined, we can activate it again.

Important! We must not have duplicate contacts in our audiences , but if we do, the data of the duplicate contact in the main audience will be updated with the data of the secondary audience that we have combined.

To merge two audiences into one, we can do it in 2 ways:
Using Mailchimp 's Merge Audiences feature .
Exporting data from an audience and importing it into a single audience.

If we use this option, we must know that it will only incorporate into the main audience those contacts that appear with the Status field as “ Subscribed ”.
Like other data we have discussed, this function does not retain GDPR permission data , so if we are using it in our forms, it would not be the most recommended method.
