The decision-making process

Post by aminaas1576 »

Incorporating mood boards into the design process helps the client visualize their future product at an early stage. This gives them a sense of control over the end result.

Not all clients are design savvy — most don’t know complex terminology, let alone the rules and principles of UX/UI. So when a client tells a designer to make their site light and modern, they may want to have a lot of white space. With a mood board, they can see different options and pinpoint what they like and don’t like, while having easy-to-access alternatives.

Purposes of using mood boards
The main purpose of mood boards is to simplify as much as possible. They allow the client to choose from two or three complete visual strategies and reduce the risk of overload. At the same time, mood boards russia email list are only preliminary proposals. The designer can make all the necessary changes or, if necessary, apply a completely new approach.

There are people who think that mood boards are a waste of time. But they are not, because they play an important role in our own design processes. They fit seamlessly with lean and agile approaches and allow us to delegate tasks and carry out several stages of the project simultaneously. Even if the client does not immediately accept the initial design ideas, other stages develop on their own.

Moodboards also make it much easier to gather feedback from anyone at any time. They allow design and marketing teams to seamlessly jump into a project and make suggestions without having to present in detail.

Imagine a scenario where mood boards are not created at the beginning of product development. You are the client, waiting days or weeks to see a designer’s take on your mobile app. And when the time finally comes, the mockup you see is not what you had in mind. Everyone is frustrated, a lot of time is wasted, bills don’t pay off, and the entire design needs to be redone.
