Tracking online conversions

Post by Dimaeiya333 »

Track all your conversions: This is the only way you can know, test, and learn what works and what doesn't. Things that don't work should be quickly identified and replaced with things that might work or are already working elsewhere.

The most important thing is to start by thinking about what numbers are really important to your business. Do you care about how many sales leads your website generates, or would you rather track your website visitors? Determine the numbers you want to increase and focus on those.

The tracking figures we recommend for real estate agencies are:

1. The seller directs

2. Potential customers

3. Website Visitors (To see the growth of your website)

4. Bounce Rate (To see if your users are engaged)

How to track conversions
Let's go over a couple of the most common ways to track conversions.

The most common way to track your website is to use Google Analytics. Google Analytics offers you a comprehensive way to track your website traffic with little setup. Chances are, your website already has Google Analytics installed and you already know how to use it to some extent.

Active conversion tracking is where Google Analytics demands a little more attention. To track conversions, you'll need to create JavaScript events, or separate thank you pages, and place these events on selected pages. To track buyer leads versus seller leads, you can create two separate "thank you" pages for buyers and sellers, and add a goal to each page. Remember, you'd still need to do the redirects on all of your forms!

Tendencies
The importance of mobile is increasing
One of the most obvious trends we are seeing is that more and more people are relying on their mobile devices to interact with real estate agents and agencies.

More than 55% of all leads in 2021 were sent via mobile devices on average – compared to our previous dataset from 2020, this figure was 52%. Following that trend, and although it now only marginally accounts for the majo chief vp compliance email database rity of internet traffic, desktop usage decreased from 55% to 49%. In the same period up to 2022, mobile usage has increased significantly, from 37% to 48%. An important note here is the observed behavior of users, who first browse on mobile and then make their queries via desktop.

Average mobile usage of 147 websites

It's very important for websites to be mobile-friendly. When browsing products, for example real estate, and especially when on contact pages and screens, mobile-friendly design makes or breaks a website. If they can't get in touch with you via their mobile device, they'll likely forget about you the next day.

For example, the tools we build at Serviceform are built and tested on mobile devices first, and then deployed to desktop browsers. We can recommend that you approach development in a very similar way, even if it does slightly lengthen development time.
