Any e-commerce manager is aware of the importance of measuring and analyzing traffic data, both at the acquisition and conversion levels.
However, in many cases, analytics implementation remains basic: Analytics with just a few (and hopefully some) conversion-based goals defined.
Some of the more advanced ones I've seen have taken the trouble to purchase modules for their eCommerce CMS that include purchase values and send some additional data to Analytics .
But is that enough?
Is the data that any standard implementation gives us enough?
The answer to this question is always: it depends.

In your product page you will surely upload the typical structure of a main image and other thumbnails below.
Do you know if those thumbnails are visible?
Have you considered whether they are useful?
Analyzing whether those images are clicked on could help you determine whether or not they are useful and also, for example, lead to conclusions like “customers often need to see all images to buy.”Maybe if we make more visible and better photos we will increase conversion.
