Social media is a tool that is constantly changing, both for users who use it to communicate and get information and for companies that implement marketing and advertising strategies. For this reason, it is important to know what changes Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other networks are going through.

This will be a year in which new tools will be developed components of a job seekers database and technological advances will be used to achieve more interactive platforms and improve the user experience. The following are some of the so-called Community Manager Trends 2017 that you should keep in mind in the coming months:

1. More Chatbots

Artificial intelligence will be one of the great revolutions in social media management. Customer service is changing thanks to the incorporation of robots that can answer all consumer queries in a few minutes and have the advantage of being available at any time.

This type of intelligence has already been incorporated into many companies' websites, and chatbots are expected to grow on social media in 2017. Community managers must complement their work with this functionality, monitoring when they should participate and configuring this tool in such a way that it adds value to customers.

2. Paid advertising

Social media algorithms have made it increasingly difficult for business posts to gain good visibility in users’ organic news feeds. Although social platforms are one of the main spaces for many brands to find new customers, the natural display of posts does not always have the best results and this trend will continue in 2017.

For this reason, to improve the performance of their marketing investments, companies will seek to promote quality posts with creative, interesting content that generates a response from users. The community manager will have to clearly know which posts should be sponsored (and why).

3. Purchases directly from social networks

E -commerce is nothing new in the digital world. However, transactions carried out entirely on social networks are a niche market that is still developing. Many brands have already incorporated stores into their social media profiles; as another of the Community Manager Trends 2017, an attempt will be made to offer a faster and simpler purchasing process in this mode. A user should be able to purchase a product directly from a social profile, without having to visit an external site. The community manager must be present to assist and achieve the much-desired conversion.

4. Personalization

With so much content on social media, personalization has become one of the keys to attracting specific audiences for a brand. Users expect to find exactly what they need on the web, from their smartphones and with information that clarifies all their doubts in a short time.

For community managers, this means having to know their online community in depth and learn to choose the content that best meets their demands. In addition to published content, Internet users expect a company's social media managers to respond within minutes to their specific questions and to quickly resolve their problems.

5. Real-time videos

In 2016, live video has arrived on the main social networks and both personal accounts and some companies' profiles are already taking advantage of its benefits. This new year, real-time broadcasts will be more widely used and, even more important for network managers, more widely consumed by users.
