In SEO, visits are just another criterion for search engines. A visit is not just an objective, it is also a positioning criterion that will help us attract more visits, and therefore, more conversions.

This week we are going to analyze how visits influence SEO, taking into account the number and characteristics of visits to our website as a positioning parameter, and to what extent they influence our strategy.

What is considered a visit in SEO
A page view is when a user accesses the website, regardless of the page they access. A user who reads the home page for a few seconds and then leaves the website will be considered a visit. A user who visits rcs database pages on our website and consults information for several minutes also counts as a visit, although obviously Google takes into account not only the total number of visits, but also the user's behavior.

Quick visits are also counted, which affect the bounce rate. Is it good for a user to arrive at our website and spend a few seconds before leaving? Not entirely, although that visit counts.

The criteria that influence visits to a website for SEO
There are six main criteria that will determine the quality of visits in SEO, and that will therefore define their influence on our positioning, they are the following:

Total number of visits. The total number of visits is an important parameter in SEO. A website that receives thousands of visits a day will tend to rank better than one that receives a few dozen visits, although this is not always the case.
Geographic origin: Google is increasingly taking into account the geographic discrimination of visitors when displaying results.
This is the famous bounce rate. If this rate is high, we will be penalized, because Google will understand that our content is not of quality.
Customs: Our repeat visitors will see us higher up in the SERP results.
Trends: Visits due to spikes or trends are also taken into account.
Click frequency: This is a good indicator of the quality of the visits our website receives. It involves measuring the repetition and frequency of clicks our website receives when it appears in Google results.
These are the parameters that affect visits in terms of positioning. In the coming days we will continue to analyze their influence on the SEO strategy.
