The leading consultancy firm in analysis and measurement of usability and interactive user experience in Spain, Xperience Consulting has carried out a study this December on the usability of e-commerce for the Christmas campaign.
Xperience Consulting has carried out a comparative study between the main e-commerce websites (Carrefour, El Corte Inglés, Fnac, PC City, Pixmania, Redcoon), which has been carried out by the binance data consultancy firm's experts in usability and user experience. Each portal analysed has been evaluated in 30 aspects related to the user experience in e-commerce stores.
In order to carry out the study, the main analytical task was to search for a 32-inch LCD television. In this way, the experts' review was always focused on the search for specific information and the subsequent purchase process in order to later be able to make comparisons between the different results.
In the overall score, Redcoon's website obtained the highest score with 119 points (out of a maximum of 150), followed by El Corte Inglés with 111, Pixmania with 109 and PCCity with 102. However, in the breakdown of categories, the different strengths of each portal can be seen.
In the category 'General aspects and home', the new El Corte Inglés website obtained the best score (28 out of 30), standing out for its balance between completeness, clarity and relevance of the information presented.
