MANY SOCIAL MEDIA USERS, BUT THEY DON'T CLICK ON ADVERTISING

Besides searching for information, email used to be the most popular activity on the Internet. But according to a study by Nielsen Online, social networks and blogs have overtaken email.

And not only are Internet users using social bc data india networks more (+5.4%), but they are also spending more and more time on them. The time spent on these sites has grown three times faster than the time spent on the rest of the Internet.

But eMarketer notes that advertisers should be cautious before abandoning traditional email for social media. According to a 2008 IDC study, 43% of social network users have never clicked on an ad, and only 11% of those who did have purchased something. The figures compare with Internet users who do not use social networks, of whom 80% have clicked on an ad, and 23% of those who have clicked have purchased something.

According to a survey by Econsultancy and ROEYE, online advertisers still believe that email is a cost-effective medium. And in times of recession, people always choose the safest option.
