Research by the Ministry of Economic Development shows how Italian companies are lagging behind in digitalization.

The research "The diffusion of Industry 4.0 companies and policies: evidence 2017" by the Ministry of Economic Development shows that Italian companies are lagging behind on the issue of digitalization.

The research shows that only 8.4% of all companies use at least one of the technologies considered. This figure is compounded by a further 4.7% of companies planning specific investments over the next three years.

A limitation also confirmed by the ExpoTraining buy bulk sms service Observatory , which shows that 56% of Italian micro and small businesses are unaware of or do not believe in the Industry 4.0 Plan , and 15%, despite being aware of the opportunities it offers, do not intend to participate due to organizational and technical limitations.

A situation that requires a revision of the Industry 4.0 Plan : "The Industry 4.0 Plan is obviously an excellent thing, which can allow Italian companies to become more competitive by focusing on innovation and training." Carlo Barberis, president of ExpoTraining , explains , "Unfortunately, however, among Italian micro-businesses, which rarely have more than 10 employees, the Plan is essentially unknown or at least too complex. A "junior" version of the Industry 4.0 Plan is therefore urgently needed, one that simplifies and informs, and that allows innovation and training to penetrate Italian micro-businesses."
