How to Set Up Geolocation for Wallet and Google Pay Cards

Post by rakib009 »

We talk about notifications based on geolocation and show how to set them up using the Passteam system as an example.

How to Set Up Geolocation for Wallet and Google Pay Cards
Once a card is added to the Wallet or Google Pay app , location-based notifications will be available to the user. Location-based notifications are notifications that appear on the lock screen within a 100-meter radius of stores that have cards in Wallet or Google Pay.

Geo-location notifications are an effective method to interest the user in using the store or establishment map.

It works like this: when approaching a certaincameroon mobile phone number list store, a push notification will appear on the lock screen. Most often, this is a welcome message from the store, a notification about an ongoing promotion, or a reminder about available bonuses. The user does not have to unlock the phone, open the application and look for the desired card. All you need to do is click on the notification that appears.

For cards in Google Pay, it works in a similar way. Users don’t need to search for the app and the desired card in it – the geo-notification will appear on the lock screen and remind the user of available points and the location of the store nearby.

How it works for users
Apple smartphone users have the option to choose whether they want to see these notifications or not. Users can enable or disable this feature themselves. To do this, you need to:

Go to Wallet app
Select store card
Click on the ellipsis icon in the lower right corner of the map, after which the user will see the back side of the map
Opposite the function "On the locked screen" select the on/off mode
If the user enables this feature, they will receive a notification when they are within 100 meters of a specific store. If event tickets are also added to Wallet, the radius for them will be 1000 meters.

Users of smartphones running on Android also have the option to enable or disable notifications. To do this, open the Google Pay application and in the "Notification settings" switch to the desired "on/off" option. Google Pay allows you to enable or disable notifications for a specific card or for all cards at once.
