How 5G and satellite networks will boost data analytics?
Data analysis has been used by all types of companies around the world to obtain commercial benefits, whether to improve customer service, increase sales, develop financial strategies or to optimize processes. However, thanks to the development of wireless telecommunications networks and their recent technological advances, we are faced with the homeowner database of significantly increasing our analysis capabilities.

One of the biggest developments that the technology sector is eagerly awaiting is 5G networks, this is because it is the first wireless network capable of reaching data transmission rates of up to 10 Gbps with a latency of around 1 millisecond and being able to connect up to 100 more devices per access point, this means that it is also the first wireless network that can compete and even surpass fiber optic services in some ways, which, in their current commercial format, reach a maximum of 1 Gbps with a latency of 4 milliseconds.

At the same time, the deployment of 5G networks will serve to enhance the capabilities of satellite internet services , which currently offer the greatest coverage and best quality of wireless connection, but due to the high cost of their infrastructure and maintenance, their contracting cost is also one of the highest, however this can change if satellite connections and 5G antennas on the ground are used together, something that not only reduces operating costs, but will also allow for global internet access and the implementation of other technologies: data analytics, this being one of the verticals that can obtain the greatest benefit.

Impact of 5G on data transmission
As technology and devices evolve, the amount of information produced will increase accordingly. To verify this, simply compare the estimated weight of all the information available on the Internet in 2011 with that available in 2021, which went from approximately 5 million Terabytes to nearly 1 Zettabyte, which is equivalent to a 200-fold increase and will surely continue to increase.

This development would not be possible if there were no means to transport data with the necessary capacity, so it can be expected that due to the communication capabilities that these new wireless networks will give us, data transmission will increase proportionally, with all the technological progress that this implies, since tools such as artificial intelligence or virtual reality have not been able to reach their full potential because there were no wireless networks with sufficient power to support them.

Another important factor that the fifth generation of wireless networks will bring will be the possibility of running virtual networks from the same physical connection, this means that telecommunications operators will allow us to divide the network into segments that use different amounts of resources depending on their use, for example we will be able to have an exclusive virtual network to manage the home automation of a house and that is totally independent from the one used to connect devices such as computers and cell phones, a function that will allow, in addition to increasing computer security, also to better organize data training.
