WhatsApp Business Account Template Messages and the 24-Hour Rule

Post by Maksudasm »

In the WhatsApp Business API, there are two types of messages that can be sent through a business account:

Notifications that are sent within a 24-hour dialog window.

Template messages sent after this opportunity closes.

If the user writes to the business first, a 24-hour dialog box opens. This is a period of time equal to a day that starts or is extended every time the client creates text in the chat or presses any button in the message. The company can then send any materials, including mailings, launch bots or write manually in unlimited quantities. It is important to follow the policy and not violate WhatsApp rules.

The message length should facebook database not exceed 1,000 characters. The text format can be any, for example, bold, strikethrough, italic, etc. Media files are added to it: music, picture, PDF. For example, you can send the client a photo of the products they are interested in or a PDF file with an invoice. If you use a CRM system, the mailing can be automated.

If more than 24 hours have passed since the last message sent to you by the client or the user has never written to you before, then it is possible to send him only a template letter, previously agreed upon with WhatsApp. This can be done in the messenger marketing platform you use. Such a message includes a template text and substitutions, which are variable values. They can contain absolutely any information, do not undergo verification - only a template text, which is agreed upon upon creation, after which it can be used as much as you like.

The following version is sent for approval:

Hello! We want to share news with our {{substitution1}} subscribers. Click the button below to {{substitution2}}.

Once such a template has been agreed upon, it can be used multiple times, changing the text in the substitutions. Nothing else needs to be agreed upon.

This type of notification is sent, for example, to subscribers who were interested in a product. This is absolutely legal, and you don’t have to worry about being banned. The main thing is that the message has value for the recipient and is relevant to their previous requests.

The WAB API supports various template messages: text, multimedia, with buttons. Notifications with buttons allow the client to continue communication in the messenger by clicking on any of the prepared responses. Using buttons, conversion increases up to 2 times and improves the level of comfort of subscribers' communication with you. This is explained by the fact that the buttons are convenient and understandable, they save time. You can set up a message template so that after clicking on a particular button, a pre-prepared notification is sent. In addition, you can attach a current PDF file or image to your message (documents and images are not additionally approved).
